Communication Experimentation

My Brother and His Wife

More on that later...

I've been thinking about this for a while...so many of the people that I love live in places far away from me. My dislike for phone-talking coupled with the hours I spend emailing everyone individually is what got me pondering blogging in the first place.

If I turn out to be fond of posting then I likely will send out emails less often. The trade-off is that ideally I will let you in on more of what takes place in and around our house on a more regular basis.

I have chosen to make this a "private blog" and because I am limited to a certain amount of readers am choosing to invite friends myself. If you think someone would really like to read my blog, please send me their address and I will invite them as well.

Even though this is a private blog, for security sake I am going to be careful with names. I will likely just use initials or codes instead of full names.

I'm sure this new application will be a learning experience for me (I've learnt more about my laptop in the last couple of hours than in the entire time I've had it) but I know I will get the hang of it!

My brother R and his wife, F2 just left after visiting us for the long weekend. We had such an amazing time with them, I was sad to see them go. F2 has a killer sense of humor that kept Mr. O'M and I cracking up and she cooks a mean breakfast.

As a big sister, it was really heart-warming to see how important F2's happiness was to R. I also never expected the little boy with Lego pieces strewn everywhere, to turn out to be the most amazingly considerate and tidy houseguest. Mr. O'M and I hope you come back soon!

While they were here we went to the Vancouver aquarium. I will leave you with videos we took there, of a baby Beluga and his Mom and the famous sea otter Milo. Enjoy!

  1. Hi,

You're not the only one learning this new tool; this is my first blog ever! Thank you for inviting me. It should be fun.

B & K are still house hunting. Hope they find something soon, as they have to be out of their house by the end of this month. They plan to bid on a condo we viewed yesterday. Tonight they're going for a second viewing with their agent, to get his advice. They'll know by tomorrow night if their bid is successful. Hope there's not a lot of competition. The housing market here is still strong, so competition can be fierce.

    Bye for now. Love ya.
